S. Patrick Shouldice
Mr. Shouldice, a board member since December 14, 2004, was appointed Chairman of the Board on February 25, 2005. A native Calgarian, Mr. Shouldice graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Petroleum Engineering in 1956.
Mr. Shouldice's career with oil and gas companies lasted six years and took him to most of the producing areas in Western Canada. In 1962, Mr. Shouldice and a group of investors created Nowsco Well Service Ltd. that pioneered the use of liquid nitrogen to promote the flow of oil from wellbores.
Mr. Shouldice chose to retire in 1996 when BJ Services Company acquired Nowsco. He continues to be active in many professional and charitable organizations.
